The presentation of the film Ukrainian Storybox is planned for February 2023 at the Berlin Film Festival.
British director David Belton has started filming the Ukrainian Storybox documentary. This was reported by the press service of the State Film Agency of Ukraine.
It was mentioned that the film will tell the story of Ukrainians experiencing the events of a full-scale war. For filming in London, a special video booth was created, where people shared their feelings and evidence of the crimes committed by the Russian army.
“Ukrainian Storybox is a unique documentary where ordinary Ukrainians can tell in their own words the story of how their lives have changed since Russia’s full-scale invasion on February 24,” the director said.
It was noted that the first stage of filming began in Zaporozhye. About 30 heroes took part in it. The next shooting will take place in Odessa, Lvov, Chernigov, Kharkov and Kyiv.
According to the general producer of the film, Roman Martynenko, this film is a mouthpiece for Ukrainians.
“Even if the world is tired of hearing about other people’s tragedies, when Ukraine moves from the first pages to notes about the course of events, lively voices and real stories of people will remind to the world from the big screens and film festivals of the great pain of Ukraine, of the incredible strength and courage of the Ukrainian people,” he said.
Earlier it was reported that the association of Ukrainian producers has completed work on the documentary film Mariupol. No hope.
