John Lennon’s eldest son Julian first performed his father’s famous song “Imagine” to the public, in favor of Ukraine and its citizens.
He sang the song Saturday as part of a Global Citizen social media rally, Defend Ukraine.
Julian Lennon, 59, vowed never to sing his father’s song, which represents the perfect world of peace and love, free of hunger and pain, created for human purpose.
But the “incredible tragedy” in Ukraine forced him to respond. “The Most Important Way I Could“ So, for the first time today, I did my father’s song, ‘Imagine’, in public, ”he added.
“I always say that the only time I can think of a song in Imagine is‘ The End of the World ’, because with that song we move into a space where love and unity become our reality. “If only for a moment,” Lennon explained.The song reflects the light at the end of the tunnel that we all expect.
Lennon called on the world to support Ukraine and all refugees.
“As a result of the ongoing violence for murder, millions of innocent families have been forced to flee their homes, seeking refuge elsewhere,” he wrote.
