For the first time, the film actor was charged in 2017. Actor Anthony Rapp claimed that Spacey sexually propositioned him when he was 14 years old.
The Los Angeles Supreme Court has ordered 63-year-old Hollywood actor Kevin Spacey to pay $31 million to MRC, the film studio behind House of Cards. Variety reported it.
Spacey, who played Frank Underwood, was fired from the series during its sixth season after facing allegations of sexual assault and harassment of young people, including a production assistant. So, the film studio Media Rights Capital, which filmed the series for Netflix, had to temporarily suspend the filming of the sixth season, then rewrite the script and reduce the number of episodes from 13 to eight.
It is noted that the group of Hollywood actors tried to appeal the application, but the Supreme Judge still ruled in favor of the film studio.
So, the actor must pay $29.5 million in damages and another $1.5 million to cover legal costs.
Earlier it was reported that the jury delivered a verdict in the case of Johnny Depp, finding his ex-wife, actress Amber Heard, guilty.
