The free translation of the text contained in the letters is:
“10 years of growth. Thank you all. Thank you to my brothers in EXO for their company and encouragement. Thank you to my colleagues at SM for witnessing every step of my growth and accomplishments. Thank you to all my fans for your unconditional love and support. It’s time to say goodbye as an SM professional. It’s also a new beginning for me as a 30-year-old man. But I’ll always be Lay when my members need me. I’m your family in China, Zhang Yixing. I love you forever”.
In addition to the letter, lay also released a new single titled ‘JIU’. The song features the brief participation of some EXO members, such as Kai, Xiumin, Baekhyun and Chenwho appear in the intro talking to the idol, as echoed by the MNE.
