The director of the first two franchise films admitted that the project with the original composition became impossible because of Rowling’s disagreement.
Chris Columbus, the director of the first two part of Harry Potter, said the adaptation of the theater production of Harry Potter and the damned child with the original acting composition would not have the opportunity to implement. He said this in an interview with The Times, IGN reports.
Earlier, Columbus expressed interest in creating a film based on a playing, events occurring 19 years after the end of the legend, and the age of the main characters coincides with the age of the actors today. However, now the director admitted:
“It doesn’t happen. Everything is so complicated because of politics. Each of the actors has its own opinion, which is different in the opinion of rowling, and makes the idea impossible.”
