Ukraine singer Jamala has achieved a new important success in her career – she has become a member of the American Academy of Sound Recording, which refers to the winners of the Grammy Awards. The artist reported this on his Instagram page.
“From now on, I have the right to vote for the world’s most prestigious awarded musical award -Grammy Awards. Why is it so important to me? Because it’s not just a title. It’s a recognition of your professional weight. It’s accessing a community that refers not only to fame, but also quality. It is a chance to develop a history of modern music.
The Singer noted that academic membership opens up new opportunities -from participating in the vote for winners to Ukrainian music to the world’s arena.
“This is an opportunity to be the voice of Ukrainian music where it is still enough. Maybe I seem to be too dreamed, but I sincerely believe that Ukrainian music should be heard,” the artist added.
