Is Dimitri from ‘Anastasia’, is a prince of Disney?

The plot, besides having a plot based on real facts, also features classic elements of princess stories, such as a romance between the protagonist and a young man who falls in love in adulthood, not knowing that his stories have been interconnected since childhood.

In the movie, the protagonist couple is Anastasia and Dimitri, a boy who, as a child, worked as a kitchen helper in the royal palace. When the imperial residence is invaded by revolutionaries, the boy, who was only 10 at the time, helps Britrite and his grandmother, Empress Maria Feodorovna, escape a secret passage, saving their lives.

When they grow up, already in adulthood, the two meet when Dimitri were looking for women who were able to impersonate Princess Anastasia, who was given as missing after getting lost his grandmother during the escape, and gaining the reward offered by the Empress.

As they see each other again, however, the two do not recognize themselves, as Anastasia completely lost their memory, and was called Anya – since not even her name could remember – seeing Dimitr only as the man who could help travel to Paris.

Over the movie, the two become increasingly close, with the relationship developing naturally throughout the scenes until, in the end, both finally open up to the feelings that nourish each other.

Can Dimitri be considered a prince of Disney?

First of all, it must be remembered that even after Disney bought Fox in 2019, to this day, Anastasia has not been confirmed as an official Disney princess, and there is no official information that this can happen one day.

Thus, as Anastasia has not become a princess, consequently, Dimitri is not yet a prince of Disney officially. However, in his history, we can consider that, in the end, he actually becomes a prince, assuming his relationship with the heiress of the Russian throne.
