5 Pixar movies with animals you need to know

From wild animals to the households; Discover 5 plots produced by Pixar Animation Studios that have animals as protagonists

Lovers of Pixar and Disney studios are used to watching animals by taking the protagonism of many plots, directly and indirectly. Whether in unlikely friendship stories, journeys of self -awareness, or adventures full of emotion, animal kingdom characters are an essential part of the studio -created animated universe.

Over the years, the producer has given life to fish, rats, insects and dinosaurs with so much personality that makes the audience identify with their stories. Therefore, in this list, we have gathered five productions where animals are at the center of the narrative and show that even the most unusual creatures can teach us great lessons.

1. Ratatouille

Launched in 2007, ‘Ratatouille’ was directed Bred Bird and several times awarded the premiere, including the Oscar statuette. He who became a big screen classic after accompanying Remy, a Paris rat who has a dream of becoming a chef.

Pixar’s official eighth animation synopsis says: “In one of Paris’s best restaurants, Remy, a certain young rat, dreams of becoming a renowned French chef, triggering a hilarious series of events” and is available on Disney+.


2. Finding Nemo

The studio’s fifth older production also brings the animal kingdom in the foreground by accompanying Marlin’s search, a superprotective dash father, by his son Nemo alongside Dory, a female of the patella surgeon species that suffers from memory loss.

‘Finding Nemo’ premiered in 2003, and received as a synopsis by Disney+: “When Nemo, a young cash is unexpectedly captured, his father Marlin is forced to embark on an exciting rescue adventure. On the way he meets Dory, a very fun fish that will help him face sharks, jellyfish and more.”


3. UP – High Adventures

Leading the direction of PETE DOCTERknown for his work on ‘Monsters S.A’, the plot of ‘Up – Salts adventures’ thrilled the audience by telling the story of Carl Fredricksen, a 70 -year -old widowed man who traveled from the United States to the Venezuela mountains with his flying house alongside the Russell Boy Scout, the Golden Retiever Dug and the tropical bird Kevin.

Debuted in 2009, the animation was nominated for five Oscar awards, including ‘best movie’, and only the second of the genre to get an indication to this category, just behind ‘Beauty and the Beast’.


4. Valente

Known for introducing Pixar’s first princess, ‘Brave’ follows the journey of Merida, daughter of King Fergus and Queen Elionor, who is determined to break the tradition of the kingdom and not marry, however, when her mother is cursed turning into a wild bear, she must take responsibility to help her, and save the Kingdom of Dunbroch from Scotland, leading to the following synopsis:

“Merida, a skilled archer and stubborn daughter determined to walk her own way in life, challenges an old sacred tradition of the kingdom. She will have to use all her skills and resources, including her smart and mischievous triplets, to undo a terrible curse before it’s too late and find the meaning of true bravery.”


5. Red: Growing up is a beast

“Red: Growing is a Beast” is one of Pixar’s latest animations, produced by Lindsey Collins directed from Domee Shi. The cast consists of Rosalie Chiang, Sandra Oh, Ava Morse, Hyein Park, Maitreyi Ramakrishnan, Orion Lee, between others.

The plot “tells the story of Mei Lee, a 13-year-old girl living the typical adolescence chaos. But in addition to having to deal with her overprotective mother and changes in her body and relationships, MEI has another little problem: whenever you get too emotional, it becomes a giant red panda!”
