Ukraine, as the winning country of Eurovision 2022, will automatically enter the grand final of the upcoming contest.
The Eurovision Song Contest 2023 will be held in the United Kingdom, which took second place, and not in Ukraine, for security reasons. It was reported by the European Broadcasting Union (EBU).
“The BBC has already committed four times to hosting the contest on behalf of the other winning countries. Continuing this tradition of unity, we know that next year’s contest will showcase the creativity and skill of one among the most experienced public broadcasters in Europe, while at the same time ensuring that the winners – Ukraine – will be celebrated and showcased throughout the event,” said Martin Österdahl, executive director of the competition.
In turn, the Chairman of the Board of Suspіlnogo Movlennya Mykola Chernotitsky thanked the Air Force’s partners with the Ukrainian people.
“I am sure that together we can add a Ukrainian spirit to this event and re-unite all of Europe around our common values of peace, support, and celebration of diversity and talent,” he said.
Earlier it was reported that the Kalush Orchestra is selling a crystal microphone for Eurovision 2022.
