NJZ (Newjeans) denies agreement with the ador in a new judicial hearing

This Thursday, 5, the second oral argument of the process filed by the company against Minji, Hanni, Danielle, Haerin and Hyeinthe members of the NJZ (Newjeans), in the 41st Civil Court of the Central District Court of Seoul, in relation to the validity of the exclusive contract of artists with the agency.

During the hearing, as reflected by Portal Koreaboo, the Court once again questioned the artists’ legal representatives about the possibility of an agreement between the parties, saying that, despite having denied last time, “from the court’s perspective, it is unfortunate, and the court would like to recommend it.”

In response, the legal representative of NJZ upheld the decision taken by MINJI, Hanni, Danielle, Haerin and Hyein Previously, where he denied the proposal and said that the confidence of the singers with the company had already been broken.

“Confidence in the relationship has already been broken, so we crossed the bridge without a return. We will have to consult our clients again, but it will not be easy,” said the artists lawyer.

Although, again, the singers denied an agreement, the ador also remained firm, saying, “Be the main case of provisional provision, if the court makes a decision, we think it will be easy to reach an agreement later.” The third date of the trial is scheduled to take place on July 24.

It is worth remembering that, at the end of May, the central district court of Seoul announced that Minji, Hanni, Danielle, Haerin and Hyein They are prohibited from conducting independent entertainment activities under the name of NJZ, without prior authorization of the ador, until the judgment verdict on the validity of the contract is announced.

If the artists fail to comply with the determination, they should all pay a fine of 1 billion Wons (about US $ 729,000) to the ador, as well as bearing the legal costs of the process. The case is still underway.
