The final Eurovision -2025 in Basel has watched more than 166 million people – this is a new record of competition. Young people have become very active.
The final Eurovision Song Contest -2025, held at the Swiss Basel, set a new note – it watched 166 million people worldwide. This was announced on May 28 by the European Broadcasting Union (EBU).
This indicator exceeds last year’s results in Swedish Malmas by three million viewers.
The competition is especially successful in young people: 60% of the audience worth viewers 15 to 24 years – this is the highest indicator for the show’s history. The highest part of the Eurovision audience was gathered in Iceland, Finland, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, the Netherlands and Switzerland itself – in each of these countries, more than half of the population was watched on the show.
On the official YouTube channel of the competition, the final broadcast was watched by 12.1 million users, and viewers from 146 countries in the world took part in the vote. Among the most activated outside the European broadcasting Union – the USA, Canada, Turkey, Mexico, Romania, Hungary, Slovakia and South Africa.
More than 500 thousand guests arrived in the basel, and more than one thousand journalists from 50+ countries occupy the competition.
Earlier it was reported that the singer from Austria Johannes Pich, who spoke under the Pseudonym JJ, won the Eurovision Song Contest-2025.
