What happened?

It all started when the user “M_RBT_” use the X platform (formerly Twitter) to report that the production team used lacquer spray to stencil in the bodywork of a rented bus, prohibited practice by risk of permanent damage. According to him, when confronted, one of the responsible reacted disrespectfully.

“They were caught trying to wear a lacquer on the bus, and the person who did it said he couldn’t simply go diluent to remove? The guy was really impenitent and still walked through the set acting like a fool,” he wrote.

Following, extras and employees reported that they worked in unhealthy conditions, without logistical support, proper feeding or protection against the cold. Among the situations described are the obligation to shave the head without notice, prohibition to wear thermal clothing under costumes and displacement in three different cities (Jeonju, Beolgyo and Andon), without hosting or overtime payment. One of the complaints stressed that, despite Netflix’s k-drama billionaire budget, production was trying to cut costs into everything that did not involve the main actors.

“WLGYT was a notoriously hated programming among the extras too … They forced the extras to scrape their heads and, despite being a Netflix production, nothing was provided. They didn’t want to spend money with anyone else appearing on the show, except the main actors, so they tried to save and save. They even neglected the elderly extras in the cold winter and made people die without providing a food truck Or craft table, throwing us in a random restaurant and telling us to eat in 30 minutes … They told us that costumes would be supplied, but did not allow us to wear internal isolating clothes.

The posts had a reach of over 1.5 million views.
