The end of jumba that is driving in animation and live-action

Last Thursday, 22, the movie “Lilo and Stitch”, the live-action adaptation of the classic Disney animation originally released in 2002, responsible for presenting the story about an unlikely friendship between a Hawaiian little girl and a rebel alien created as a laboratory experiment.

The production is starred by Maia Kealha8 years old, rookie responsible for bringing to life to Lilo, and Chris Sandersactor who returns to the role of Stitch, besides co-directing the plot alongside Dean Fleischer Camp.

Like Disney’s latest adaptations, much of the film continues with the same story presented in the animation, but with some minor changes, ranging from the most subtle to the most notable.

Among some changes are the arrival of new characters, the absence of some names presented in the animation, the exclusion of Lilo’s photography hobbie, the change of certain scenes, among others. However, one of the most notable changes is related to Jumba Jookiba, the galactic defense industry scientist responsible for creating Stitch.

The differences between jumba in animation and live-action

During the 2002 film, Jumba is sent to Earth next to Pleakley to try to capture Stitch and take him back to the great counselor, where he would officially sent to fulfill isolated exile on a desert planet. While here, he really tries to fulfill his mission, but ends up having a redemption in the end and also joins the family of Lilo and Nani.

In live action, the situation is a little different. This is because, in the new version, the role of villain ends up being delivered to the jumba, since Gantu, the captain of the united Galactic Federation and the main antagonist of the drawing, was cut from production.

As a result, although it still has some comic scenes, the 2025 movie shows a more determined character to capture the Stitch to prevent the great counselor from destroying his laboratory, doing whatever was necessary to catch the alien – even imprisoning Pleakley when the ruler said he had failed, and should be arrested and sent to space to be judged.

When the great counselor finally comes to Earth to finish the mission in person, she ends up holding jumba and determines that Stitch can fulfill her exile here, with Pleakley being also allowed to remain to watch him. Thus, different from animation, the alien scientist does not have the opportunity to redeem himself and be part of a family.
