After the Eurovision Grand Council 2025, Spain’s broadcaster RTVE suspected the influence of “military conflicts” on television results for Ukraine and Israel.
The Grand Finn of the 69th Song Contest Eurovision, which took place on May 17 in Switzerland, ended the success of Austrian Performer Johannes Picha, but misunderstandings around the results did not weaken.
Spain’s public broadcaster RTVE revealed his desire to appeal to the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) with a request to change the television mechanism, suspected that military conflicts could affect voting results for Ukraine and Israel.
“The RTVE demands the debate’s behavior through telegopolization to assess whether the procedure that took place is really best. We believe that current military conflicts affect television, which is why competition has lost the essence of culture,” Broadcast said.
This request sounded immediately after the final, in which the Ukrainian group Ziferblat received 60 points from the national jury and 158 from the audience, which eventually took place in the ninth area. Israel’s singer Juval Rafael received a similar 60 points from the jury, but many more – 297 – from viewers, who brought his silver competition.
The RTVE also wants to get detailed information about voting results, including data on the number of votes received from Spanish viewers.
Earlier it was reported that the largest number of points-8-Ukrainian groups Ziferblat, which represents Ukraine in Eurovision-2025, received from Azerbaijan.
