Find out what was the famous K-pop group that decided to sabotage their own presentation after not being happy with the team’s request
When we make a presentation, we are always subject to some unforeseen events. In the music world, this is no different – in fact, unexpected events are even common, and artists and their team are already used to being ready for anything that can happen.
This is why, at shows or festivals, we can see microphones that sometimes stop working, the sound is too low or high, the lighting does not work the necessary way or, the most common, the return of audio does not come properly on the phones of singers and musicians.
But, have you ever imagined any artist sabotaging her own presentation? This is what happened to a famous first generation K-pop group.
K-pop group that sabotaged the presentation itself
The situation happened with Shinhwa during a broadcast by the Korean South Korean broadcaster. Since its debut in 1998, the boygroup formed by Eric, Lee min woo, Dongwan, Hyesung, Junjin and AndyIt is known for its amazing vocal skills, and its live performances that take the breath out of the audience.
During the broadcast, which took place in the mid-2000s, the ensemble was told to make Lip-Sync in its performance, ie just dubbing the music, not singing live as they were used to. The members, however, were not very happy with the request and decided they would not follow what was imposed.
Thus, as they took the stage to perform the song “Hey Come on”, the sextet made it clear that they were doing a voice acting, singing without the microphone in hand, or even voice acting the verses that are originally sung by other members. Look!

The moment, although probably not pleasing the station and the company responsible for the group, SM Entertainment, was extremely praised by fans, being remembered on social networks to this day.
