But who is Hammer of Boravia?
First of all, it must be remembered that Boravia is a fictitious nation, quoted in the comics as a region located in Europe, which would have survived the two world wars and managed to maintain its traditional hereditary monarchy.
Early in the new trailer, it is quoted that Superman helped stop a war from another country. At one point, the man of steel is seen in a melee battle against a villain who, so far, no one knows much about his story: the Hammer of Boravia, or Boravia hammer.
The character, who never appeared in the comics, as explained by the portal Yahoo!, Is an unprecedented creation for the film, developed by James Gunnfilmmaker and co-CEO of DC Studios, next to the producer Peter Safran. In the trailer, you can see that it uses huge iron armor, having an extremely strong physique, and has the ability to fly and drop lasers through the eyes.
In promotional materials released at the end of last year, you can see a newspaper with a story written by Clark Kent, where the title highlights the destruction made by the new villain in the city center. In the text, fans were able to identify the explanation that Hammer of Boravia would have attacked Metrópolis as a form of retaliation after Superman interferes with his country’s political actions.

The report also says that Boravia would have attacked Jarhanpur, a neighboring country, starting a war ended quickly after the arrival of Superman. This quote makes a direct connection with the scene of the beginning of the trailer released on Wednesday, 14, where Lois Lane (Rachel Brosnahan) Asks Clark about having invaded a country without the authorization of the president of the United States to interfere with a battle.
So far, there is no more information about the origin of Boravia’s hammer and the reason why he was so angry with Superman for ending the war in his country, even if the hero’s attitude has saved hundreds of lives.
“Superman” is premiered in Brazilian theaters scheduled for July 10 this year.
