The Cannes Film Festival of 2025 will begin on Ukrainian Day, where three documentaries about the struggle of Ukrainian people will be displayed.
This year, the 78th Cannes Film Festival, starting May 13, will start a special event for Ukraine-the day of Ukraine.
As part of this event, at the palace of the festivals, in Bazen Hall, a show of three documentaries talking about a full -scale invasion of Russia was held.
As indicated on the official website of the festival, the purpose of the initiative is to remind the world of artists that, despite the war, has continued to remove realistic stories about their country’s struggle. The program includes ribbons:

“2000 meters to Andreevka” – the work of Oscar director Mstislav Chernov, who shows the facts of the front;

“Zelensky” -The movie of Iva Gelland, Lisa Vapne and Ariana Shiman Bernard -Henri Levy about the leader of Ukraine;

“Our war” was the work of French philosopher and director Bernard-Henri Levy, who focused on the fight against Ukrainian.
Organizers emphasize that this gesture of support aims to convey the voices of those who fight for freedom and reality, combining efforts with partners such as France Télévisions and BRUT.
Earlier it was reported that Robert de Niro would be an honorary laureate of the Golden Palm Branch at the 78th Cannes Film Festival.
