One more! In addition to its parks in the United States, Europe and Asia, Disney has now announced that it also has plans to inaugurate a new attraction in the Middle East.
According to information echoed by the G1, the new resort of Mickey’s house should be built in Abu Dhabi, on Yas Island, located in the United Arab Emirates. The initiative is a partnership between Disney and Miral, a famous local leisure and entertainment company.
In addition to being responsible for the tourism development of the island of Yas, Miral also operates the parks of Warner Bros. World, being involved in the construction of the Harry Potter theme park, and SeaWorld.
In a press release, Disney stressed that it decided to start the new venture in the United Arab Emirates, as the region is a “important portal for tourism”. Already Robert IgerCEO of Walt Disney Company, described that the moment is “exciting,” and that Abu Dhabi Park will be “authentically Disney and distinctly Emidense.”
According to the company, the idea of New Disneyland is to unite Disney’s huge legacy with all the futuristic essence of the city. The president of Disney Experiences, Josh d’Amarostates that the resort will be “the most advanced and interactive of the entire portfolio”.
“The location of the park is incredibly unique, which will allow us to tell our stories in a totally new way. It will be a celebration of what is possible when creativity and progress come together,” the entrepreneur continues.
Despite the announcement, so far, Disney has not yet released a forecast date for the inauguration of the new park.
