Dominique Thorne, protagonist of Marvel’s new series, ‘Iron Heart’, shares that she was approved by Robert Downey Jr. to take over the armor
Finally Marvel fans had news about the unprecedented ‘Iron Heart’ series, which brings the story of Tony Stark’s successor, the Iron Man. First introduced in 2022 during ‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever’, Riri Williams is now prominent in his series that will have six episodes. Thus, the actress who will bring the character to life, Dominique Thronerevealed that he received the approval of the former interpreter of the iconic MCU millionaire, Robert Downey Jr.
In an interview with Empire magazine, the artist shared that she had a conversation with the actor, in which he showed support on the actress’s journey and said that DowneyJr.who wore Iron Man’s armor for 17 years, is eager to watch the plot.
“Robert Downey Jr and I talked right after we broke up, and he shared a few very adorable words about my journey. He told me how he was excited and that he is also cheering for it. I literally have two thumbs up. It’s really comforting to know that you’re not ashamed of Iron Man,” said Thorone.
The actress also stressed that, despite having Stark as a great inspiration, Riri brings different points of view from the tycoon, especially to show the marvetes her true personality and reality compared to the already known hero: “She is diving in the trash, while Tony Stark [era] this billionaire “but DominiqueHe points out that “what she is able to accomplish is remarkable,” especially considering the period she has passed in Wakanda.
‘Iron Heart’ is scheduled to premiere June 24 at Disney+.

‘Iron Heart’ will be directed by Ryan Cooglerwho was ahead of two Black Panther films.
