Check out some moments of the third episode of the second season of ‘The Last of Us’ that are different from the Naughty Dog game
Last Sunday, the third episode of the second season of “The Last of Us”, HBO series responsible for adapting the events of the same name released by Naughty Dog in 2013, and its sequence in 2020.
However, even if the production is based on the events of the game, and receives many praise from fans for the high level of loyalty to the original material, the show still has some unpublished moments or that have undergone some changes.
In particular, the latest episode is one of those with the largest number of changes. Check out some!
Consequences of Episode 2
During one of the unpublished scenes, we can see Jackson on fire and numerous bodies of deceased people being collected. While the deceased are removed, Tommy ends up “recognizing” Joel’s remains – killed in the last episode by Abby – and tells him to “give my love to Sarah”, daughter of the character lived by Pedro Pascal who died on the pilot of the series.
Then Ellie wakes up at the hospital in crisis, revisiting the traumatic events that resulted in Joel’s death. Tommy, however, is present and tells the girl that they need to carefully plan a revenge, with the participation of more people, and emphasizing that Jackson does not live a good time after the invasion of the infected.
In the game, the moment is a little different. This is because, inside the game, Tommy meets Ellie at the girl’s house, where he takes something to eat, and the two end up arguing how they can take revenge on the Seattle and Abby group.
Soon after, two more unpublished scenes are presented. The first, which has a three -month timeline (something that doesn’t happen in the game), shows Jackson in the reconstruction phase. Already in the second we followed Ellie receiving discharge from the hospital, even without 100% recovered, after lying to Gale saying that I was already feeling better.
Revenge
Even with Jackson still vulnerable, the character of Bella Ramsey He decides that he needs to go there, and tries to convince Tommy to accompany her, who denies it, but says he will support her at the general meeting with the council to present the idea. Shortly thereafter, the serafites, a sect presented in “The Last of Us: Part II”, are introduced, where we see a group of people communicating through whistles and scars on our face walking around the woods.
During the advice, Rachel and Carlisle protest against Ellie’s idea, who tries to convince everyone with an inspiring speech but can’t and her mission is not authorized. After the result, Tommy and Gale talk during a baseball match, with the first showing concern that the protagonist follows Joel’s same way in the future. Remember that in the game, while this moment occurs, Ellie goes to her friend’s tomb to visit.
Ellie and Dina
In the next scene, we see Ellie and Dina in a camp talking about the kiss they gave at the party. Although this moment is not unprecedented, in the game, it happens in Eugene’s bunker before Joel died during a storm.
Still during the conversation, the protagonist comments on the second person she had to kill-in the game, however, the character cites the first one who killed, a looter who was attacking Joel trying to drown him. In the series, Ellie’s first victim is also different: an infected.
“The Last of Us” is available on the streaming Max platform, with new episodes every Sunday at 10 pm GMT, which are also shown on the HBO channel.
