Imagine a fictitious universe in which BTS members live different narratives through characters whose stories are guided by group songs – this is BTS Universe (BU), which was created through the clip of “I Need U”, released on April 29, 2015.
In this universe, Jin, J-hope, Suga, Rom, V, Jiminand Jungkook They address the fears, desires, and sufferings related to youth not only in the group’s songs, but in the contents made available at the time, which were guided by the Korean Hwa Yang Yeon Hwa (Hyyh, the acronym by which BTS Universe is also identified), translated into “the most beautiful moment of life” in Portuguese.
It turns out that it is not just MVs who receive the BU seal, as the agency that manages the group’s releases, Bighit Music (at the time Big Hit Entertainment), has expanded this universe to short videos, books and even webtoons that help tell the story of these characters.
