Discover a list of South Korean doramas launched in 2025 that should not pass the first season in the Netflix catalog
When a production is widely successful, it is common for studios to think of ideas to continue exploring the title. In the cinema, one of the alternatives is the sequences, already in the universe of TV series, it is common for projects to gain new seasons, as happened with the South Korean drama ‘Weak Hero Class, which last Wednesday, 02, was confirmed that it will win new episodes on April 25 on Netflix.
Still, it is not always that big stories gain sequels. Following examples of the streaming platform, there are the so -called “limited series”, which although there may be exceptions, usually have a fixed number of episodes and are just a season, so there are no possibilities for renewal.
In Netflix’s semester semester engagement report, revealed in March 2025, some South Korean doramas released later this year ended up listed as limited series, which means that even if fans want, it is unlikely to receive a second season. See what they are:
1. WHEN LIFE GIVES YOU TANGERINES (If life gives you tangerines)

In this title, the singer and Atris Iu (Hotel Del Luna) gives life to AE Sun, an impetuous and bold young woman who joins the shy and hardworking Gwan Sik, played by Park Bo Gum (Reply 1988), whose friendship relationship has become over the years into a trajectory of overcoming and romance.
The story takes place on the island of Jeju in the 1950s, and follows the fears and dreams of the protagonists with the passage of the seasons (spring, summer, autumn and winter) showing the obstacles and triumphs of each of them to prove that love can last for generations.
Exciting, the narrative is presented in 12 episodes available on the streaming platform on March 7, 2025.
2. When the Stars Gossip (ask the stars)

“From two different worlds and with separate missions, an astronaut and a tourist in the same space station fall in love,” says the synopsis of ‘Ask the Stars’, drama starring by Lee min (Boys before flowers) and Gong hyo-jin (Master’s Sun).
The plot, which received worldwide distribution on Netflix, originally aired on TVN on January 4, and came to an end after 16 episodes on February 23 this year.
3. The Potato Lab (love and potatoes)

The actress Lee Sun-Bin (Work Later, Drink Now) is a potato researcher called Kim Mi-Kyung in ‘Love and Potatoes’, a drama that received the last episode on Sunday, 06. Released on March 1, the drama follows the love story of Kim Mi-kyung and so baek-ho (Kang tae-ho) that begins when he becomes the new employee in the laboratory she works.
The title has 12 episodes in all.
4. When the Phone Rings (when the phone rings)

Despite being released in 2024, the last episode of ‘When the phone rings’ aired this year on January 4, with the 12th chapter screening.
Starring Chae Soo-Bin (I’m not a robot) and Yoo Yeon-SEOK (Playlist Hospital), the drama has the following synopsis: “The tense marriage of a rising politician and a woman who does not speak begins to argue because of the telephone connection of a kidnapper.”
