Remember some classic Disney characters that are also princesses, but may fall into the oblivion of many people
One of the most popular and profitable franchises ever released by The Walt Disney Company is Disney Princesses, made up of Snow White, Cinderella, Aurora, Ariel, Bela, Jasmine, Pocahontas, Mulan, Tiana, Rapunzel, Merida, Moana and Raya.
However, although the franchise is composed only of 13 characters, Disney has a much larger number of princesses in its catalog, which are not always remembered by the public. Check out some!
1. Melody (Little Mermaid 2: The return to the sea)
Daughter of Ariel and Eric, Melody is featured in the second film in the franchise of “The Little Mermaid”, which does not have the same popularity as the first feature. Being a princess of both the sea, being granddaughter of the king of Atlantis and the earth, the girl has a strong connection with the ocean, having a huge curiosity to learn more about her mermaid heritage.
2. Eilonwy (The Magic Cauldron)
At just 12 years old, Eilonwy is the princess of the 1985 movie “The Magic Cauldron”. In her story, she ends up being another king who intends to use her to find the dreamed magic cauldron, to create an army of undead.
3. Maid Marian (Robin Hood)
Romantic pair of Robin Hood, Maid Marian is the niece of King Richard, making her a legitimate princess. Unlike other characters, she distances herself from the princess stereotype who needs to be saved and, during the movie, even faced Prince John, Richard’s brother, when he tries to attack Robin.
4. Atta and dot (insect life)
In “Life of Insect,” the lovely Dot and her sister, Atta, are the princesses of the ant community in which they live. Being extremely kind and courageous characters, they help Flik in their plan, and Atta become the protagonist’s romantic interest.
5. Vanellope von Schweetz (Detona Ralph)
At the beginning of “Detona Raplh,” no one would imagine that Vanellope could be a princess. However, the plot reveals that the girl is a real princess, but was eventually forgotten due to a failure. In “Wifi Ralph: Breaking the Internet,” she even has an iconic meeting with all other Disney princesses. Remember!
