Come on! Pixar finally confirmed on Thursday that the long-awaited sequence of ‘Live-Life is a party’ is officially developing. Almost nine years after the release of the first movie, the studio announced that it is already working on the new production, which, although there is not much details about the plot, it was revealed that the Premiere is scheduled for 2029.

Launched in 2017 by Pixar Animation Studios and distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures, ‘Viva: Life is a party’ enchanted the audience with their exciting family, memory and music. Directed by Lee unkrich and codirighed by Adrian Molinathe film follows Miguel Rivera, a 12 -year -old boy in love with music who, getting involved with a mysterious guitar, ends up transported to the world of the dead. There he embarks on a journey to find his great -grandfather, a legendary musician, and discover the true story of his family.
Inspired by the traditional Mexican holiday Día de Los Muertos, the feature features a visually stunning universe, full of vibrant colors and authentic cultural elements. To ensure loyalty to Mexican culture, the production team traveled to Mexico to study customs, scenarios and traditions, bringing an impressive level of detail to the animation. The soundtrack, signed by the renowned composer Michael Giacchino (UP – High Adventures, Ratatouille), has exciting songs, including ‘Remember Me’, which beat the Oscar for ‘Best Original Song’.
‘Live: Life is a party’ also led to the ‘best animation’ statuette, consolidating itself as one of Pixar’s most acclaimed films. The feature was a great box office hit, raising more than $ 805 million worldwide and becoming the largest box office in Mexico history at the time.
