Wheesung’s family reveals that money from the condolences raised in the funeral of the South Korean singer will be donated to a significant cause
Last Sunday, 16, there was the funeral of the late South Korean singer Wheesung At Samsung Medical Center, in southern Seoul, South Korea, with about 130 people present, including family members, colleagues from the musical direction, as well as fans of the artist.
At the time, cash donations were collected in condolence and, on Monday, 17, the younger brother of Wheesung revealed that every amount raised during the funeral will be used to support causes that create a positive impact on society in the name of Wheesung.

Hello, this is Wheesung’s younger brother.
During the funeral last weekend, many colleagues and fans came to say goodbye to my brother, ensuring that their final journey was not lonely.
Our family did the best you could to demonstrate proper gratitude, but if there was any failure, we kindly ask for your understanding.
I was deeply comforted by those who shared as my brother’s music brought them happiness and strength in life. Seeing people suffering so deeply also made me jealous of how love and admiration they had for him.
Although my brother fought with several negative emotions and unexpected difficulties that he could not easily overcome, he never abandoned his passion for music and continued to strive to create beautiful songs. Our family will do the best to preserve and honor your music so that they are never forgotten.
We decided to use all the condolence money received during the funeral to support causes that can create a positive impact on society on behalf of Wheesung. We will consult experts in the area to find the most sustainable and significant way to do this.
Once again, we sincerely thank everyone who remembered and came to pay their honors to my brother.

Wheesung He debuted as a singer in 2002, with the release of the album “Like a Movie”. Since then, he has released several hits, including “With Me”, a remake of “Insomnia” Craig Davidreleased in 2009 and “Heartsore Story”, which was promoted in 2011.
The star died on February 10 at the age of 43. The actor was found by his unconscious family in the apartment where he lived in Seoul, the capital of South Korea. Emergency teams were sent to the scene, but the artist did not resist. According to information from the New York Times (via Billboard Brazil) the cause of death would have been a cardiac arrest, possibly caused by drug abuse, according to police investigation. The Seoul Gwangjin Police Station continues to investigate the possibility of overdose.
