Eurovision-2025: Maltese singer is banned from performing a song

Malta’s representative at the Euro-2025 Mirian Conte is forcing to replace the competitive music composition due to a linguistic dispute.

Mirian’s Mirian representative was banned from performing his competitive song because of a word in the text – “Kant”.

In the Maltese language, it means “singing”, but English listeners mentioned its consonant with a vulgar word in English. And a wave of anger at the Euro -Fans went. The European Broadcasting Union (EBU) conducted an auditing and decided: the song in its current form could not be held at the competition in Switzerland.

Organizers have suggested that Malta has two options for leaving the current situation: Replace the word Kapana -excited hearing or display a completely different composition. Mirian Conte reacted to the ban with a bit of anger, because before the competitive song was over, less than a week were left.

“I was shocked and failed at the same time, especially considering that we had less than a week left.

It is still unknown if the malt will make changes to the music track or provide a new composition.

Earlier it was reported that the Estonian performer of Tommy Cash, representing the country at Eurovision 2025, ended the center of a strong scandal because of his competitive song Espresso Macchiato.
