This Saturday, July 9, a Monegasque charity event brought together the kingdom’s top executives with a 1920s theme.
Ball gowns, designer gowns, classy decor… The Bal de la Rose has made a big comeback this year. After an absence of more than two years, the Monegasque social event for the Princess Grace Foundation took place this Saturday, July 9th. The 66th edition was organized by Princess Caroline of Hanover, who was able to count on the presence of her brother, Prince Albert II of Monaco, as well as Charlotte Casiraghi, Alexandra of Hanover and many other crowned heads. It was designer Christian Louboutin, the inventor of the famous shoes with red patent soles, who came up with the ball’s theme: “The 20s, Come Back.” Inspiration was found in some of the pieces worn by rock celebrities.

Charlotte Casiraghi looks like she’s stepped out of the Roaring Twenties in her signature Chanel outfit with her hair in a low bun. A white creation accompanied by a black satin bow that played with feathers and feathers. Andrea Casiraghi’s wife, Tatiana Santo Domingo, also bet on the flash. She wore a long champagne dress by Temperley London. Finally, Caroline of Monaco wore an art deco patterned dress paired with a black waistcoat with a bejeweled brooch. A stylish trio that paid homage to the Roaring 20’s.

During the Bal de la Rose, Dita Von Teese performed one of her famous nude numbers in an oversized glass of champagne. Janet Jackson or even Fanny Ardan, present at the event, chose other luxury, no less impressive, to participate in this performance. Pierre Casiraghi’s wife, Beatrice Borromeo, opted for a sculptural embroidered dress with a Dior train, while Alexandra of Hannover wore a red and white ball gown with a Giambattista Valli signature oversized top. A creation that resembled… barley sugar.
