For the first time in 40 years, fans will hear the song Hot For You, Baby, which was not included on the Private Dancer album. Its release is scheduled for March 2025.
A composition by the legendary Tina Turner, who disappeared more than 40 years ago, will be presented to the audience, the BBC reports.
The track Hot For You, Baby, which was not included on the cult album Private Dancer due to other hits, was found in the preparation of the re-release of the record. The composition will be broadcast on BBC Radio 2, and its release is scheduled for March.
The song, produced by John Grant, is an up-tempo rock track that has previously been recorded by other artists but remains relatively unknown. The new collection from Private Dancer will also feature remixes and live recordings, including Tina Turner’s performances with David Bowie and Bryan Adams at the NEC Arena in Birmingham in 1985.
“Hearing something new from Tina Turner is a treat for fans of all generations and a reminder of her unique talent. I was fortunate to interview Tina and see her perform live. She is an incredible incredible performer but an amazingly beautiful woman,” said Radio 2 presenter Mark Goodier.
The album Private Dancer at one time became a real success in Turner’s career, selling more than 10 million copies and receiving three Grammy awards.
It was previously reported that Tina Turner has sold the rights to her song catalog to music company BMG, including hits The Best and Nutbush City Limits.
