Israel was the first to select its participant for Eurovision-2023

The special commission to select Israel’s representative for Eurovision is considering 78 candidates.

Israel became the first country to choose a representative for the Eurovision Song Contest 2023. Eurovision reported this on Instagram.

In particular, the first confirmed artist was 21-year-old pop star Noa Kirel, who was recognized as the best actress in the country according to the MTV Europe Music Awards.

“Looks like we’re back for the season! Big Israeli pop star Noa Kirel has become the first confirmed performer for Eurovision 2023,” the contest’s Instagram announced.

It is still unknown which song the singer will perform, because according to Eurovision rules, her release must take place no earlier than September 1, 2022.

Earlier it was reported that Eurovision 2023 will not be held in Ukraine.
