In recent interviews, TOP opened up about his thoughts related to a possible reunion with the BIGBANG group
After the success of his role in the Netflix series “Round 6”, the actor and singer Choi Seung-hyunbetter known as TOPdecided to give interviews to the South Korean press for the first time in 11 years, where he commented on numerous topics, including his participation in the K-drama, his future projects, in addition to his current relationship with BIGBANG.
To Sports Kyunghang, the star revealed that he currently has no contact with G-Dragon, Taeyang and Daesungand that he is sorry for not having contacted them yet — something he cannot do due to feelings of guilt. According to the singer, “I am someone who caused great harm to BIGBANG and my former company due to the mistakes I made in the past.”
However, in conversation with iNews24, TOP highlighted that “I have no intention of erasing BIGBANG from my life. The BIGBANG members are like a family, with whom I spent my bright and beautiful 20s. Even now and in the future, I feel nothing but pity for the BIGBANG members.” .
Despite maintaining enormous affection for BIGBANG and its members, Seung-hyun told different portals that, for him, it would be difficult to participate in a meeting with G-Dragon, Taeyang and Daesung. Still speaking to iNews24, the singer declared that “I feel like I don’t deserve (to return to BIGBANG), it’s been too long to return.” As for BNT News, TOP he also said that, even if the offer came from the trio, a meeting would be difficult for him.
“When the pain of the breakup passes and I have found inner peace, I think I will contact them [membros do BIGBANG] again. I liked Taeyang’s recent concert. It was satisfying and cool. I will always support them. Even if (they) make an offer, a meeting will be difficult.”, said the singer.
Even though the artist is wary of BIGBANG, the situation is different when it comes to his solo career. During the interviews, TOP revealed that, for seven years, he lived “almost isolated from society”, with music being his escape valve for the problems he was facing at the time.
“I wrote a countless number of songs, just listening to my own dark heart and inner turmoil. I wanted to heal through music and I want to share this music with my fans in some way,” he said.
According to the rapper, it is still too early to announce anything concrete, but he guarantees that there are plans for a new musical project, which should be prepared “soon”.
