BTS sets record: hit Dynamite surpasses 2 billion streams

K-pop group BTS’ “Dynamite” became the first in the genre to cross two billion streams on Spotify.

South Korean group BTS’ 2020 hit Dynamite has achieved an impressive two billion streams on Spotify.

According to The Korea Times, the group remains the only Kpop group to have achieved this figure.

The group’s achievements outside of streaming are also impressive. “Dynamite” made BTS the first Kpop group to top the Billboard Hot 100 chart and earned them a Grammy Award nomination. Also, the video for this song has collected more than 1.9 billion views on YouTube.

Among solo artists in the Kpop industry, BTS member Jungkook broke the two billion mark on Spotify with his single Seven.

While fans are eagerly awaiting the group’s reunion, which is scheduled to take place in 2025, after the completion of military service of five members – Min Yoon Gi, Kim Nam Joon, Park Ji Min, Kim Tae Hyun and Jeon Jong Kook Kim Seok Jin and Jung Ho Seok (J-Hope) have completed the service.

It was previously reported that Billboard published a list of the best artists of the 21st century.
