SHE IS COMING BACK! This Monday, 13th, Jisooa member of BLACKPINK, released a mysterious teaser on social media announcing the date for her long-awaited comeback as a soloist.
In the just seven-second video, it is possible to see recordings of an electrocardiogram (ECG), a test used to evaluate the electrical activity of the heart, followed by the date of its next release: February 14th. Watch!
It is worth remembering that this will be the first comeback of Jisoo as a soloist, as the artist made her solo debut in March 2023 with the single-album “ME”, composed of the title track “FLOWER” and the b-side “All Eyes on Me”. Furthermore, the return also becomes even more special as it marks the singer’s first solo release under her own company’s label, BLISSOO.
In addition to her music career, the BLACKPINK member has also focused on work as an actress, using the year 2024 to record different films and series. Shortly before the arrival of his new song, the star will promote his new k-drama “Newtopia”, where he stars alongside the actor Park Jeongmin.
The plot, which premieres on February 7th on Prime Video, is inspired by the South Korean novel “Influenza”, written by Han Sangwoon, and will follow the story of soldier Lee Jae-Yoon (Park Jeongmin) and Kang Young-Joo (Kim Jisoo), a couple who decide to take a break from their relationship after a fight, however, are surprised by the growth of a virus that turns everyone into a zombie and takes over Seoul. Now, the two will need to do everything to reunite and stay alive.
With script Ji Hojin (A Shop for Killers) next to Han Jinwonscreenwriter responsible for the Oscar-winning film “Parasite” (2019), “Newtopia” also features names like Kim Joon Han, Im Sung Jae, Kim Chang Hyung and Lee Hak Joo. Watch the trailer!
