Music publication Billboard named the top 10 best artists of the 21st century. American singer Taylor Swift topped the rating.
Music publication Billboard has published a list of the best artists of the 21st century, based on data from the Billboard 200 and Billboard Hot 100 charts over the past 24 years.
Head of rating became Taylor Swift, who dominated the music scene for over a decade and a half.
The singer released his first hits in 2006. Since then, 14 of his albums have topped the Billboard 200, and 12 songs have reached number one on the Hot 100. He repeated this feat in 2024 with The Tortured Poets Department.
Another outstanding record for Swift is 86 weeks at number one on the Billboard 200. This is the longest number in world music history.
Second place Canadian rapper Drake took the top spot. It debuted on the music charts in 2009. During this time, he released 338 Hot 100 tracks, 78 of which were in the top 10. Drake also set the record for the longest tenure on the chart, with 431 consecutive week on the Hot 100 from 2018 to 2023.
Third place went to Barbadian star Rihanna, who first entered the charts in 2005. She became the youngest artist in history to have 10 songs reach number one on the Hot 100. She has two albums topping the Billboard 200 and has 14 which was a number one single on the Hot 100.
Top ten including Post Malone, Eminem, The Weeknd, Beyoncé, Justin Bieber, Bruno Mars and Usher.
