Golden Globe-winning animation ‘Flow’ gets new trailer

The animation ‘Flow’, which recently won the Golden Globe for ‘Best Animation’, has just released its new trailer, increasing fans’ expectations for its debut in Brazil. The animation, which has enchanted audiences around the world, was also nominated in several prestigious awards, such as the Critics Choice Awards and the Oscar, consolidating itself as one of the biggest promises in world cinema.

The trailer presents a brief vision of the journey of the lonely cat, the protagonist of the story, and his encounter with peculiar creatures aboard a boat that takes them through mystical and challenging landscapes. ‘Flow’ stands out for the simplicity of its plot, but also for the depth of its messages about overcoming and coexisting in a transformed world.

After winning the Golden Globe, ‘Flow’ is established as one of the most acclaimed animations of the season. The plot, which does not use dialogue, leads the audience to follow the protagonist cat as he joins other animals, such as a dog and a capybara, on his journey through a post-flood world. The work has already been awarded at festivals such as Annecy and the New York Film Critics Circle Awards, and is now in contention for a place at the Oscars, competing in the Best International Film category.

“Flow” consolidates itself as a direct competitor to “Inside Out 2”, “Moana 2” and “Robô Selvagem” in the dispute for the golden Oscar statuette, which, in December, released the pre-list of possible nominees for the ” Best International Film”, and which includes the animation for its production coming from Latvia, thus being another category in which the plot competes, competing for a final spot for nomination with five more foreign productions.

Directed by the Latvian filmmaker, Gints Zilbalodiswho also wrote the script, ‘Flow’ brings an engaging and sensitive narrative, which has already won over fans around the world, being nominated for the biggest awards in the film industry.
