The 82nd Golden Globes was a night of historic wins, with Emilia Pérez winning four awards and The Brutalist winning Best Motion Picture Drama.
The 82nd Golden Globe Awards ceremony was held in Los Angeles, traditionally held at the Beverly Hilton Hotel. This year, for the first time in history, the ceremony was led by a woman – comedian Nikki Glaser, who hosted the event herself.
The main successes of the evening were Jacques Audiard’s French film Emilie Perez and the drama Brutalist. Emilia Perez won awards in four categories, including Best Film – Comedy or Musical. The film also received awards for Best Supporting Actress (Zoe Saldana) and Best Song (El Mal).
The Brutalist won three awards, including Best Drama Film, Best Director (Brady Corbet) and Best Actor (Adrien Brody).
On television, Shogun received special recognition, winning Best Drama Series, with actors Hiroyuki Sanada and Anna Sawai receiving awards for their roles.
