Scheduled to premiere in February 2025, ‘Newtopia’, a new K-drama starring Jisoo, from BLACKPINK, has new images. Look!
Last Wednesday, the 25th, the streaming platform Coupang Play released new images for the k-drama “Newtopia”, a production starring Jisoomember of BLACKPINK, alongside the actor Park Jeongmininspired by the novel “Influenza”, by the South Korean author Han Sangwoon.
The plot will follow the story of soldier Lee Jae-Yoon (Park Jeongmin) and his girlfriend Kang Young-Joo (Kim Jisoo), a couple who, after a fight, are separated for a while, however, after an unknown virus that turns everyone into zombies spreads across Seoul, they need to do everything they can to reunite again and stay alive.

In addition to being extremely anticipated by BLACKPINK fans, who are eagerly awaiting to see the first K-drama starring Jisoo Since “Snowdrop”, the production has also been highly anticipated by critics for featuring big names in the industry in its development, such as Han Jinwonscreenwriter of the Oscar-winning film, “Parasite”, and who wrote the script for “Newtopia”.
In addition to Jisoo and Jeongminthe drama will also feature the participation of other great actors, including Lee Hak Joo, Kim Joon Han, Kim Chang Hyung and Im Sung Jae.
When does ‘Newtopia’ premiere?
“Newtopia” is scheduled to premiere on February 7, 2025, with weekly episodes released until March 21, according to information released by Variety. In Brazil and 240 other regions, the K-drama can be found through the Prime Video streaming service, while in South Korea the production will be available on the Coupang Play platform.
