This Monday, the 23rd, fromis_9 released the group’s latest release under the management of PLEDIS Entertainment with the single “From”, which is now available on audio streaming platforms.
It is worth remembering that the end of fromis_9’s exclusive contract with PLEDIS was announced in November through a statement, where it was revealed that Lee Sae Rom, Song Ha Young, Park Ji Won, Roh Ji Sun, Lee Seo Yeon, Lee Chae Young, Lee Na Gyung, Baek Ji Heon will officially leave the agency on December 31, 2024.
The group debuted in January 2018 and was under the control of PLEDIS since 2021, so the farewell included a special release to end the group’s time with the company, whose track reflects on the members’ feelings of gratitude to the fandom; listen!
Even though the track is cute, fans did not fail to express their dissatisfaction with the lack of promotional actions for the song, highlighting in tweets on X (formerly Twitter), the lack of a release schedule with conceptual images, teasers and even an MV they made for “From”.
“Then we won’t have any MV,” wrote one netizen. “No teaser images; no MV; no lyric video; no visuals; no promotion; graphic design by mxxdx, goodbye Pledishit,” said another.
There are also users who highlighted these as the reasons why the group was leaving the agency. “Just to be clear… THIS is why fromis decided to leave. No other group would have a release handled like this. No timeline. No concept photos. No teasers,” said @blacckpop.
