Did you know that “Produção de Sonhos”, derived from the “Inside Out” franchise, achieved a record? Yes, right at its production debut, the title achieved a feat that surpassed any other animated title that debuted in the Disney+ catalog.
What was the record that “Produção de Sonhos” achieved?
The historic achievement was that the four-episode plot, whose average length is 20 to 30 minutes, officially became the animated series with the biggest debut on the streaming service.
This is because, when released on December 11, the first episode of the title had more than 5.6 million views in the first five days, according to data from Disney itself (via OVício).
The series then surpassed the numbers of “X-Men ’97”, the revival of “X-Men”, which garnered 4 million views when it premiered on March 20 of this year, and became the biggest debut for an animated series on the streaming since “What If…?”, in 2021.
What is “Production of Dreams” about?
Set between the first and second films in the “Inside Out” franchise, “Dreammaking” takes place elsewhere in Riley’s head, as it goes behind the scenes of the place where the girl’s dreams take shape and help her understand better your memories.
The synopsis says: “Riley is growing up and when she needs to process her memories a little more, Alegria and the other emotions send them to the Dream Production. There, acclaimed director Paula Persimmon faces a nightmare of her own: trying to create her next dream. success after being put to work with Xeni, a presumptuous director of daydreams who wants to enter the hotly contested field of dreams.”
The story is told in the mockumentary style, a genre in which a fictional production is produced following the same characteristics as a real documentary, and brings Riley’s five primary emotions, Joy (Mia Mello), Sadness (Katiuscia Canoro), Fear (Octavian Costa), Disgusting (Dani Calabresa) and Anger (Leo Jaime), as special appearances, as the protagonists are director Paula Persimmon and daydream director Xeni, voiced nationally by Cecília Lemes and Nami Melumad, respectively.
In addition to them, the story presents a few more figures such as Zak, comedy director; Sheng, action director; Gigi, director of nightmares; Janelle, a production assistant and Jean Dewberry, the head of Dream Production.
