Stuck for holiday makeup inspiration? Here are the trends that most unite TikTok and the big winner.
Between video tutorials and trends, social media is an endless source of inspiration for finding the perfect beauty look.As the holidays approach, we can also get ideas for our makeup. But it’s not always easy to navigate the flood of publications and other trends. A digital PR agency has compiled a ranking* to list the 10 most popular Christmas looks. And so make our task easier.
And unsurprisingly, the most popular remains the unsurpassed classic of the genre, the smoky eye, the hashtag of which has nearly 166,000 videos. The agency also notes that Google queries for this term have increased by more than 70% in the last thirty days. From Zendaya to Marion Cotillard, the smoky look features both black and brown eyeshadows for a softer touch, or gold for a more festive touch.
Next in the ranking is the Latte Make-up trend (which has overtaken the Pantone color of 2025, Mocha Mousse), and whose best ambassador is Hailey Bieber. So it accumulates 34800 videos. Adopt it? We focus on warm and brown tones (coffee, caramel) which favor bronze powders but also creamy textures.
It also stays pretty close to the look that follows it and takes third place on the catwalk, Bronzy makeup, which again boasts bronze powders and warm tones, but also metallic shades, gold, bronze… Perfect inspiration?Jennifer Lopez:
Finally, among other popular hashtags, we find, in order, Cherry Cola lips (cherry red with a touch of black or brown), Expresso makeup, Sugarplum fairy makeup (where the pink blush stands out in the grandeur. Reference to the image of the “Sugar Plum Fairy” “The Nutcracker”), the makeup of Victoria’s Secret Angels (at her events last October after the parade) or even metallic or disco make-up.
* The makeup looks were ranked based on the number of videos and data collected on November 29, 2024 for the most popular Christmas makeup looks of 2024 on TikTok.
