In a recent statement, Min Hee Jin, former CEO of ADOR, accused Belift Lab of causing damage to NewJeans and using ILLIT as a shield
Recently, Belift Lab, a subsidiary of HYBE, filed a lawsuit to compensate Min Hee Jinformer CEO and current Internal Director of ADOR, in approximately ₩20.0 billion KRW (about 14.3 million dollars), for alleged damages caused to the girl group ILLIT due to accusations of plagiarism made by the businesswoman.
Now, in a recent statement (via Soompi), representatives from Hee Jin shared a statement from the director harshly criticizing Belift Lab, after the agency asked the court analyzing the situation to speed up the choice of a date for the trial, claiming that Min would be “delaying” the meeting.
In response, in his statement, Min Hee Jin accuses the HYBE subsidiary of ignoring the damage it also caused to NewJeans, a girl group managed by ADOR, and using ILLIT as a shield.
“Despite clear testimony from an internal whistleblower and clear similarities, they are denying and misleading public opinion. HYBE and BeLift Lab are the ones spreading countless false allegations, disrupting work and defaming, all while bringing a problem that could have been resolved internally into the public sphere.
They should reflect on who is actually using novice artists as shields to claim work stoppage while ignoring the damage caused to NewJeans,” Min Hee Jin said in a statement.
The case remains ongoing.
