Last Wednesday, the 13th, the South Korean portal Yonhap News released a certificate of content — a document used in South Korea to claim damages and notify contract terminations — sent by the members of NewJeans to ADOR, the company responsible for the group, announcing that, if the requests made by the artists were not met, their exclusive contracts would be terminated.
The report, issued with the legal names of the five members, Kim Minji, Hanni Pham, Danielle Marsh, Kang Haerin and Lee Hyeinstates that the agency had violated the exclusivity contract with the girl group, requiring the company to rectify them within 14 days of receipt.
According to information shared by Soompi, the document would also supposedly address recent rumors related to the singers’ families, stating that the artists have no involvement in the unfounded rumors, and that strong measures would be taken against those who spread false rumors.
This Thursday, the 14th, ADOR issued a new statement announcing that it had received the document sent by NewJeans, in addition to also commenting on another recent rumor that accuses the company where an uncle of Hyein work, trying to plan to recruit Min Hee Jinand met with the director, who denied the information.
