When will the live-action ‘Lilo & Stitch’ debut in Brazil? Disney reveals

WRITE IT DOWN! During the “Disney Studios” panel at D23 Brasil, held today, 8th, at the Transamerica Expo Center, in São Paulo, the capital, Disney confirmed when the live-action ‘Lilo & Stitch’ premieres in Brazil: May 22, 2025 !

It is worth remembering that the premiere will take place first in Brazil, since in the United States, the film will premiere shortly after, on May 23rd of next year. The news came along with Stitch’s first video appearance already released; remember!

More about the live-action ‘Lilo & Stitch’

The Disney film, which will be directed by Dean Fleischer Campwill count on the return of Chris Sanderswho voiced Stitch in the animation. The main cast includes Maia Kealoha like Lilo, Sydney Agudong like Nani, Courtney B. Vance like Cobra Bubbles and Kahiau Machado in the role of David Kawena, Nani’s boyfriend. The actors Zach Galifianakis and Billy Magnussen were also confirmed in production, but the actors’ roles have not yet been confirmed to the public.

Do Lilo and Nani have a last name?

The sisters’ surname appears discreetly, like an Easter egg, on the animal adoption license that they sign when they decide to take their “dog” Stitch home, where we can see the youngest daughter’s full name: Lilo Pelekai.

According to Business Insider, the name follows the theme of the film and is 100% Hawaiian inspired. This is because “Pele” refers to the goddess of fire and volcanoes in Hawaii, while “Kai” means sea water in the Hawaiian language.
