Remember the universe of ‘Hamtaro’

Popular in the late 90s and early 2000s, the anime ‘Hamtaro’ impacted the lives of thousands of children. Remember the production!

Have you ever stopped to think about what pets do when their owners leave? If they’re like the hamsters in the cartoon “Hamtaro”, you can bet they get involved in lots of adventures.

In this series, 10-year-old Laura loves her golden hamster, named Hamtaro. She knows he’s cute and smart, but she has no idea what he’s capable of.

When she moves house, Laura has to face the challenges of being new to the neighborhood and school. But she soon meets other children who have hamsters and becomes friends with Ana, a classmate. To top it off, he falls in love with a boy at school.

With so much news, every night the girl writes in her diary about the day’s events and talks to her pet. What she doesn’t know is that the little one not only understands everything but also has a secret life in which he is going through situations similar to the ones the girl is experiencing.

Curious by nature, Hamtaro escapes from his cage whenever he is left alone. As soon as the owner decides to go for a walk, he finds a way to escape to explore the surroundings of the new house. He ends up meeting the hamsters in the region and making many friends.

To always meet each other, the animals decide to found the Ham-Ham Club, which is based in the underground hideout of the Boss, an independent hamster. From then on, they began to call themselves Ham-Hams.

Hamster Stuff

If you think all hamsters look the same, it’s good to know that they think the same about humans. The characters in the cartoon are different in appearance and personality.

When they get together, they drink tea, eat sunflower seeds, talk, make plans to help their owners or just have fun. All this while the kids are at school! They also like to follow their owners without being noticed and often imitate them.
