Disney Channel is known for producing countless series, films and animations responsible for marking the childhood of thousands of children around the world. However, with such a large number of successes, it is normal for some productions to end up being forgotten by the public over the years.
With that in mind, Recreio put together a list of 5 incredible Disney Channel animations that no one talks about anymore. Check it out!
1. Timon & Pumbaa (1995 — 1999)
Yes, Timon and Pumbaa had their own series on Disney Channel. It was released a year after the premiere of “The Lion King”, and continues the duo’s story right after the final events of the film. The animation lasted only three seasons, ending in 1999.
2. TaleSpin – Esquadrilha Parafuso (1990 — 1991)
“TaleSpin” was the 90s series responsible for bringing together great Disney characters in the same production, such as Baloo and Shere Khan from “The Jungle Book”, Timon and Pumbaa from “The Lion King, Aladdin and Tiko and Tecco. The drawing, however, had many continuity errors and was completed after just one season.
3. The Gargoyles (1994 — 1997)
Featuring gargoyles responsible for fighting crime and protecting New York City from all dangers, “The Gargoyles” was one of Disney Channel’s most innovative series. This is because it was one of the first to have a more serious and dark tone, being aimed mainly at adults.
4. Lilo & Stitch — The Series (2003)
You didn’t read it wrong: Lilo and Stitch actually had a Disney series. After the great success of the films, the studio decided to launch an animated series for the beloved characters, with the story starting from the end of “Stitch! The Movie.” The production ran for two seasons, and was very well received by children at the time.
5. The Emperor’s New School (2006 — 2008)
“The Emperor’s New School” is a spin-off of “The Emperor’s New Groove”, and arrived on Disney Channel six years after the release of the first film. In the animation, we follow Kuzco in a school learning everything he needs to become the next emperor of the Kuzconian Empire.
