Emily in Paris star Lucas Bravo hinted that he may not return to the role of Gabriel due to disappointment with the character’s storyline.
French actor Lucas Bravo, known for his role as Chef Gabriel in the TV series Emily in Parisexpressed dissatisfaction with his character’s development.
In an interview with the Independent, the 36-year-old actor admitted that he might not return to the role in the fifth season.
Bravo noted that he felt further removed from his character due to the changes made by the writers in previous seasons. “The image of the ‘sexy chef’ was an important part of me in the first season. And now, with each season, we are further away from each other through the decisions he made and the direction the creators forced him to take. “I’ve never been so far away from him, as it is now,” commented the actor.
Despite attempts to convince the writers to make changes, the actor felt that his opinion was not heard.
“We don’t have that much freedom on set. We can’t change our words or our emotions. They know what they want and we just have to comply. It makes me wonder if I want to be part of the fifth season since my contract expires in season four,” he added.
The actor noted that he loves the series and is grateful for the opportunity, but admitted that he is disappointed with Gabriel’s current development.
Earlier it was reported that the streaming service Netflix has announced the renewal of the series Emily in Paris for the fifth season.
