Second generation group, BIGBANG debuted in 2006, and is one of the oldest K-pop formations still active, as well as one of the most influential, as their songs remain remembered to this day, regardless of the date they were released.
With that in mind, RECREIO put together a list of 5 BIGBANG songs that, if you’ve never heard before, you need to know; check it out!
1. “Bang Bang Bang” (2015)
“Bang Bang Bang” is one of the two title tracks of the group’s fifth single, “A”. Released on June 1, 2015, the track can now be considered a K-pop classic, and due to its popularity, it was even included in the dance video game Just Dance 2019.
2. “Fxxk It” (2016)
“Fxxk It” appeared almost as a Christmas gift for fans. This is because, included in the album “MADE”, it was released on December 13, 2016. Still, the lyrics are not at all Christmassy, as they reflect on attitudes that can arise when faced with complex issues of love.
3. “Bad Boy” (2012)
“Bad Boy” can be found on the track list of BIGBANG’s mini album “Alive”. The song was released on February 29, 2012.
4. “Haru Haru” (2008)
In August 2008, fans were able to hear for the first time “Haru Haru”, the second track from the EP “Stand Up”. In the lyrics, the lyricist laments the loss of a love and regrets for mistakes made in the relationship.
5 “Fantastic Baby” (2012)
Also from “Alive”, came “Fantastic Baby”. The track achieved incredible feats, as it became the first music video by a K-pop group to reach 200 million views in January 2016 and 300 million views in June 2017.
Furthermore, the song can be heard in the background of an episode of Glee, in a scene in which the male characters learned dance steps from K-pop groups, in addition to appearing in the trailer for “Pitch Perfect 2”.
