Just like Venom, the stories of Spider-Man, a Marvel character, also feature other memorable villains; remember!
Last Thursday, the 24th, the film “Venom: The Last Round” arrived in Brazilian cinemas, the third and final feature in the trilogy that presents the life of Eddie Rock (Tom Hardy), a journalist who ends up becoming host to an alien parasite, Venom.
Being a huge distortion of Spider-Man, the character appeared in 1984 during the “Secret Wars” saga, being presented as a new costume for Peter Parker. To do this, the hero was taken to a machine capable of producing new clothes according to his thoughts, being conceived as an alien symbiote that has life and a will of its own.
After returning to Earth with the new uniform, Peter begins to face complicated situations after the symbiote increases his powers. This is because the alien started to enjoy battles against bandits, taking control of Teioso at night and carrying out actions without his awareness, causing him to decide to get rid of the suit.
Upon losing its owner, the alien stores all of Parker’s genetic information, including his powers, and merges with Eddie Brock, who was Peter’s main rival in journalism, in the 1988 edition “The Amazing Spider-Man”, appearing the Venom we know today.
However, in addition to him, Spider-Man stories have also featured numerous notable antagonists; remember some!
1. Sandman
William Baker, also known as Flint Marko, was the victim of a molecular structure scientific experiment with sand, which altered his DNA, causing him to acquire the ability to transform his entire body into sand. Being a figure recognized by fans, the Sandman has already been represented in a few different ways in adaptations, where he can appear simply as a common criminal, or as a man who resorted to crime in search of money to help his family.
2. Dr. Octopus

Otto Octavius, Doctor Octopus, is a brilliant scientist who worked with Peter Parker as his advisor, but who loses control after failed research with mechanical arms that are stuck to his back, and start to be used as his main weapons.
3. Scorpio

Hired by Jonah Jameson to participate in tests for a program created to destroy Spider-Man, Mac Gargan ends up suffering from side effects, and is trapped in the suit given to him, being forced to assume the identity of Scorpio. Due to his tragic fate, he begins to seek revenge against Jonah and Teioso, even though the hero is not to blame for the experiment.
4. Mysterio

Before becoming a criminal, Mysterio was an illusionist, however, to this day, he seeks to keep his true identity a mystery by hiding his face in a glass mask, being an expert in manipulation and deception.
5. Green Goblin

One of Spider-Man’s best-known villains, Norman Osborn, the Green Goblin, is an extremely wealthy businessman and father of one of Peter Parker’s closest friends, who ended up developing a second personality as a cruel psychopath.
