Jin, from BTS, reveals differences between his solo career and with the group

In a recent interview, Jin, a member of BTS, commented on the main difference in his mentality in group activities and as a soloist

This Friday, 25th, Jinmember of BTS, pre-released the single “I’ll Be There”, a track that anticipates the arrival of his newest solo comeback with the album “Happy”, which is scheduled to be released on November 15th .

Starting promotions for his long-awaited return as a soloist after being officially discharged from military service in June, the star was on the cover of the special edition of Vogue Japan magazine, which celebrates the magazine’s 25th anniversary, where he reflected a little more about his life and career.

During the conversation, Jin was asked by the reporter if there is any difference in his mentality when he is working on projects for BTS, and when his energies are focused on solo activities — and his answer was cuter than we could have imagined.

The artist explains that, despite enjoying freedom as a soloist, he feels more comfortable in group activities, as he always has the members by his side.

“When I work alone, I have to do everything alone. So I have a lot of freedom and I can do what I want, but at the same time I also feel a sense of pressure. In the group, even though I’m lacking in some areas, I’m calm because the members are there with me, so I’m more relaxed,” said the singer.

It is worth remembering that, in other interviews, Jin has also revealed the importance of the group in his life, in addition to reflecting in an interview with W Korea this year about the biggest lesson he learned from RM, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V and Jungkook over the years: live happily.

“The lesson I learned is ‘just live happily.’ We all perceive the same situation differently. I try to let things go as quickly as possible,” he shared. “I don’t get very stressed. I often remind myself that the world is full of happiness (laughs). There are times when I feel stressed, but I try my best to minimize it. What’s done is done, and you can’t turn back time. It’s better to move on and focus on remembering the good things. That’s the biggest lesson I learned.”

The oldest member of BTS also completed his reasoning by saying that, nowadays, the moment he feels happiest is when he is working: “We all have to work, so someone who feels happy while working would be a truly happy. I hope that feeling continues as long as possible.”
