1. Dreamcatcher
Dreamcatcher was formed in 2017 by the company Dreamcatcher Company, and is made up of seven members: JiU, Your, Siyeon, Handong, Yoohyeon, Dami and Gahyeon. With songs that have a more rock-oriented style, the girl group made their debut with the album “Nightmare”, accompanied by the title track “Chase Me”.
Among some of his best-known songs are “Scream”, “MAISON”, “PIRI”, “BOCA”, “OOTD” and his most recent release, “BONVOYAGE”. Furthermore, in September this year, the group returned to Brazil for a unique show in São Paulo, where they presented their main releases to the Brazilian Insomnias.
2. EL7Z UP
Created through the Mnet variety program “Queendom Puzzle”, EL7Z UP is composed only of idols who had already debuted, and is joined by Yeeun (CLC), Yeonhee (Rocket Punch), Yeoreum (WJSN), Kei (Lovelyz), Yuki (PURPLE KISS), Nana (woo!ah!) and Hwiseo (H1-KEY).
Its debut took place in 2023 with the title track “CHEEKY”, the main track from the album “7+UP”, which remains the only release from the set so far, and is composed of pop-oriented tracks that everyone should listen to.
3. fromis_9
The only active girl group of PLEDIS Entertainment, a subsidiary company of HYBE, fromis_9 was formed in 2017 on the program “Idol School”, debuting in 2018 with the track “To Heart”, title track of the mini-album “To. Heart”. Today , the group is made up of eight members: Saerom, Hayoung, Jiwon, Jisun, Seoyeon, Chaeyoung, Nakyung and Jiheon.
Until 2022, the group also had Jang Gyuri During its formation, however, the artist decided to leave the group because she was unable to balance her work as an idol and an actress. Among his biggest hits are: “Love Me Back”, “DM”, “WE GO”, “#menow” and his most recent release, “Supersonic”.
4. cignature
Cignature debuted in 2020 through the company J9 Entertainment, a subsidiary of C9 Entertainment, through the single “NUN NU NAN NA”, currently consisting of six members: Chaesol, Jeewon, Seline, Belle, Semi and Dohee. Until 2026, Belle will be on hiatus from the group because she was one of the winners of the Universe Ticket program, and debuted in the girl group UNIS.
Despite its short career, the group has already had some changes in its formation. In its debut, it featured members Ye Ah and Sunn, who left in 2021, and were replaced by Dohee and Chloe, who announced in October this year that she also left the band. Despite this, the group delivers incredible songs that mix smooth and bright vocals, including tracks like “Smooth Sailing”, “Mess With My Mind”, “Little Me”, “Poongdung”, “AURORA” and more.
5. Billie
Girlgroup from MYSTIC STORY, a subsidiary of SM Entertainment, Billlie debuted on November 10, 2021, with the mini-album “the Billage of perception: chapter one”, accompanied by the title track “Ring X Ring”, consisting of seven members : Moon Sua, Suhyeon, Haram, Tsuki, Sheon, Siyoon and Haruna.
Through their songs, the group tells the story of their concept, which revolves around a mysterious event that needs to be kept secret by the members, meaning that, for the public to understand the plot, it is necessary to listen to all the songs in full. release order — but which are also incredible to listen to individually. Among the most popular, we have: “GingaMingaYo (the strange world)”, “EUNOIA”, “trampoline”, “BYOB (bring your own best friend)”, and others.
