ATTRACKT, the company responsible for FIFTY FIFTY’s activities, is suing Warner Music Korea for alleged illegal actions involving the parents and former members of the girl group. The legal action seeks compensation of approximately ₩20.0 billion KRW (about US$14.5 million).
Last September, an exclusive recording released by the South Korean portal Dispatch, made between May and June, revealed negative comments from parents of Saena, Aran and Zion about the CEO of ATTRAKT, Jeon Hong Joonin addition to strategies for the three to invalidate their exclusive contracts with the record label, taking legal action and signing with Warner Music Korea.
In an official statement from ATTRAKT, published this Wednesday, the 23rd, the record label revealed that they are seeking damages against the former CEO of Warner Music Korea, Clayton Jin (Jin Seung Young)and the current Executive Director, Yoon Hyung Geun. The agency accuses the two of playing a fundamental role in these recordings.
ATTRAKT also claims that the situation directly impacted the activities of FIFTY FIFTY, which returned in August 2024 with a new lineup. Currently, the girl group has members Chanelle Moon, Yewon, Hana,Athena and Keenawhich was already part of the previous formation.
